It's Another Terrific Day-11/17/07-CLICK HERE TO READ

Yes it is another beautiful day!!! Did you wake up feeling that way too? If you didn't then ask yourself why. One of the biggest challenges I have in coaching people is that generally people are not grateful. In is cliched' but it is true we take our eyesite, legs, arms, relationships, EVERYTHING for granted. If you woke up this morning IT IS A GREAT DAY. If you have your freedom this morning IT IS A GREAT DAY. If you are surrounded by people that love you IT IS A GREAT DAY. If you put food in your belly IT IS A GREAT DAY.

If you are reading this then you are probably a high achieving indivdual. You see only high achieving individuals would take the time to improve themselves. High achieving individuals know and understand that they have the ability to change their world and nobody else does.

Since this is the start of the holiday season it is a great time for reflection. By now you should have written your goals and you should be tweaking them. Reflect on the achievements NOT the disappointments of this past year, and start celebrating them!!! Yes really be thankful for all you have received and achieved in this last year. A great exercise that I do every night before I go to bed is I look in the mirror and OUT LOUD I say all of the great things that happened to me that day and or all of the things that I am thankful for. By doing this exercise I am constantly training my mind to look for the great things in life.

I hope you have a great day today and everyday. Your thoughts count. Let me know what you think. What kind of exercises do you do. Share them here with all of us.

Dr. Inselman I could not agree with you more. I am the CEO of a small company that employs just under 600 people. I am a very driven Type A persoanlity type and I am happy to say it has served me well in business but horribly in my personal relatio1nships. I took everything and everbody for granted until I lost my family. I am now on my second time around and I am not making the same mistakes again. I make sure that I let everyone know how grateful I am for everything and everybody good in my life. Thank you for telling people about this. I came onto your website by accident. I was looking up goal setting and there you were. I will definately be coming back here often as I have book marked your site. I also will call to see what kind of programs you can offer to my employees and staff. If you are reading this blog then do what the good doc has said and find things to be grateful in your life.
