I HOPE YOUR THANKSGIVING WAS GREAT-CLICK HERE

I hope your Thanksgiving was great. We had a terrific holiday that was spent with my parents who came down from New York to visit with us in Sunny Florida. As I sat at the table and reflected on the 3 generations that sat there(my parents, my children and me) I could not help but beam with pride and give extra thanks. Thanks for my family being there and all of the wisdom that my parents imparted to me; and thanks for the days to come where I can impart my wisdom on my children. Thanks for my beautiful wife, and thanks for our health.

As I coached my clients over the week that followed Thanksgiving, I noticed that many people were focusing on the things that they didn't have. Some missed passed loved ones, some wished they had more money; some wished they had better health. It is easy to focus on the lack. It is imperative though, that we shift our focus to what we have and to be thankful for what we do have.

As far as for the lack, set goals to make those things happen in your life. Obvously a goal  it is not going to bring a loved one back. However wouldn't it be better to celebrate a passed loved one's life instead of mourning the loss? How about giving a donation in their name, start a charity fund or anything else you can think of. If you don't have the money to spare how about creating a collage of pictures memoralizing the person?

If it is more money you want then how about setting up goals to make that happen in 2008? Want to lose more weight, make another goals for 2008. No matter what at all times be thankful for what you have and do not dwell on what you don;'t have.  If you need help Creative Coaching is here to help. Onward we march to the holiday season. This year sure went fast didn't it?
